The Belle & Sebastian To Rock Skyline Stage (Gently)

Belle & Sebastian will be playing the Mann’s Skyline Stage on July 10th. Anybody who was witness to the splendor in the grass that was Sigur Ros’ two-night stand at the Skyline Stage last summer can attest to just how splendid this will invariably be: Craft beers, food trucks, blanket-on-the-lawn, under the bushes under the stars. And no cops. Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 AM. So don’t just sit there with your teeth in your mouth. Fold your hands child, you walk like a peasant!

RELATED: The Postal Service re-join for their first and last tour since 2003 in celebration of the 10th anniversary of their only album, Give Up. The Postal Service take the stage at the Mann on June 17th. The Postal Service 10th anniversary tour will reunite Postal Service principals Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello with Jenny Lewis (Jenny & Johnny, Rilo Kiley), who appeared on the original album and played with the band on its 2003 dates. Lewis also sings on the two new songs on Give Up (Deluxe 10th Anniversary Edition). Laura Burhenn (Mynabirds, Bright Eyes) rounds out the 2013 touring lineup. The Postal Service and Sub Pop Records’ pre-order for Give Up (Deluxe 10th Anniversary Edition) is live now, with configurations including a limited 3-LP edition on red, clear and white vinyl available through subpop.com and postalservicemusic.net. All pre-orders will immediately receive a download of the previously unreleased single “A Tattered Line of String.”  Give Up was certified platinum last year just shy of 10 years from its original February 9, 2003 release.
