As bad as the economy is for Earth, it&#8217;s even worse for the newspaper industry. Their collective collapse is unfortunate and will leave a larger void in news coverage. However, the void already exists today because of their poor coverage. Both the Inquirer and Daily News are filled with mostly wire stories and each successive cut they make leads to less and less reporting. We&#8217;ll have to see what ends up happening as a result of the bankruptcy filing. I think the Daily News will cease to exist completely. I&#8217;d like to hope that the Inquirer would be able to incorporate their staff and we could return to a more full service newspaper. I really doubt that&#8217;s what&#8217;s going to happen, but it would go a long way to keep the Inquirer from suffering a similar fate down the road. [...]</description>
